Encyclopedia of the Sustainable Development Goals

Call for Authors:
Encyclopedia of the Sustainable Development Goals: Transforming the World We Want

We are currently preparing the "Encyclopedia of the Sustainable Development Goals: Transforming the World We Want". The project entails 17 volumes, each devoted to one of the SDGs, and with 100 entries each, or 1.700 contributions in total. This is thus the largest editorial project on sustainable development ever undertaken. An overview of the scheme can be seen here.

We are currently looking for suitably qualified authors, who may write an article about one of the 1.700 terms selected for the publication. The terms have already been selected by a panel, and we are interested from contributors from academia, NGOs, companies, research centres and the civil society at large. The Encyclopedia will be published by Springer, and is associated with the "World Sustainability Series", hence being a high impact, high visibility, peer-reviewed output.

If you are interested to contribute to this major reference work, please send an expression of interest to the relevant Deputy Editors, as follows:

SDGs 1,4,10,16
Dr. Pinar Gökçin Özuyar, Ozyegin University, Turkey

SDGs 2,8,5,17
Prof. Paul Pace,University of Malta, Malta

Prof. Tony Wall, University of Chester, UK

SDGs 6,13,14,15
Prof. Anabela Mariza Azul, University of Coimbra, Portugal

SDGs 7,9,11,12
Prof. Luciana Brandli, University of Passo Fundo, Brazil

They will provide you with further details, allocate you a term, and will add you to the list of potential authors. The Springer team will then contact you with further details on size, format, style of references, deadlines, etc. Authors do not receive a print copy, but will receive a PDF of their contributions, and a personal access to the whole Encyclopedia, for research and teaching purposes. This will be an excellent addition to the CV and publications list of contributors. You are welcome to join sustainability experts and practitioners from across the world, and be part of this unique editorial project.

The editorial team is happy to answer any questions and/or send you more details. Many thanks.
