International Business, Trade and Environmental Sustainability: International Business as a positive driver of environmental sustainability

This timely publication showcases research, feasibility studies, case studies and projects which aim to demonstrate a variety of ways to implement environmental sustainability in firms that operate globally as well as their best practices in international management, adoption of cleaner technologies, global supply chain, greenhouse gas emission reduction, transportation, etc. Expert contributors from industry, government and academia are now invited to submit expressions of interest to contribute to this key publication, ensuring that a variety of themes and perspectives are captured on the "international business as a positive driver of environmental sustainability book ", making it a vital information source to stakeholders in the international business community.

Table of contents: We plan assembling interdisciplinary contributions covering wide-ranging case studies, reviews, outputs of research/studies, etc that will provide state-of-the-art information on how firms operating globally are already adopting sustainability practices in different topics. The contents to be included in the book will comprise 20 to 30 articles covering, but not limited to the following main topics:

  • Global sustainable management practices
  • Global sustainable waste management practices
  • Global sustainable food and agricultural markets
  • Global responsible mining and energy
  • Global sustainable sourcing and supply chain
  • Global sustainable transportation
  • Global conservation innovations and investments
  • Global building construction and infrastructure

The book will be published by Springer, one of the top 5 scientific publishers, as part of the award winning World Sustainability Series, which is the leading peer review book series on matters related to sustainable development. Publications in the book series officially count for promotion and tenure purposes, and over 2.000 authors have had the opportunity to promote and disseminate their work as part of this well-established and high impact book series.

Expressions of interest to contribute to the book, consisting of a 200 words abstract with all contact details from the authors, should be sent to: Paulo.de_Brito@colostate.edu, preferably by 18th November 2018.

Papers should be in English, up to 6.000 words including references, written in Times Roman 12 and single-spaced. The first draft of the chapter is to reach the editors by 18th December 2018. Revised papers will need to be (re)submitted by 18th January 2019.
