Call for Research Projects on Microplastics in the Marine Environment

There is an open call to study the sources, distribution and impact of microplastics in the marine environment. The Governments of the following countries have agreed to work together and fund projects in this area:

Estonia | Ministry of the Environment of the Estonian Republic, MoEEstonia & Estonian Research Council, ETAgz
Germany | Federal Ministry of Education and Research, BMBF
Norway | Research Council of Norway, RCN
Sweden | Swedish Research Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning, FORMAS

Unfortunately, other countries are not eligible. Scientists from the above countries who have a proven expertise and experience on studies on the impacts of microplastics in the marine environment, should contact the Team in Hamburg at: iusdrp@ls.haw-hamburg.de. Further details will then be discussed and agreed.

Proposals need to be submitted by 28th February 2019.
