Baltic Sea Region - Cooperation without limits?

The Faculty of International Relations invites researchers, experts, teachers, and PhD students from the BUP member universities to take part in the research seminar  BALTIC SEA REGION: COOPERATION WITHOUT LIMITS?, which will be held in the frameworks of the  XIXth International Scientific Conference Belarus in Modern World.

The research seminar will be devoted to the role of Republic of Belarus in the Baltic Sea Region, current problems and challenges of international relations in the Baltic Sea region, politics and cooperation, economics and sustainable development of the region; tourism and history of the Baltic Sea Region

In case you are accepted for participation in the conference you are welcomed to submit the full text article in English before the 1st of October 2020. All the articles will be reviewed. The best articles of the seminar will have possibility to be published in the international interdisciplinary journal Studia Periegetica. More information about publication (requirements, deadline  etc) will be given after the selection procedure. Organization Committee has the right to decline the articles of poor scientific quality and plagiarism.


To take part in the seminar, please, fill in the form and submit your abstract (no more than 500 words) on the offical conference webpage. Invitation and the programme of the research seminar will be sent to the participants after the scientific review and acceptance of the abstracts for the participation. Declined materials are not to be returned.  

Online participation

Due to the restriction in travelling the research seminar will be  held  even online for the participants which are not able to travel. Therefore the deadline for application  for on line presentation is prolonged until the 20 of September.

In case you are accepted for online participation in the seminar you are welcomed to submit the full text article in English before the 20 of October 2020.

BUP Grant for participation:

BUP has possibility to cover accommodation (2 nights 28-30 October 2020) and food at place, for 10 representatives from the BUP member universities. These representatives will be selected by the scientific committee for participation.

The Grant application is done together with the conference registration.

Please observe that grant recipients will recieve a reservation and that no monetary reimbursement is possible.
